Canadian Disc Dog Association (CDDA) encourages participation of all dogs, purebred or mixed. Dogs can play in this sport if they are in good physical condition and athletic.
Under CDDA rules, there are four main events; Retrieval Proficiency Test (RPT), Single Disc, Freestyle Disc and Furthest Catch. The RPT is simply a test that proves your dog can retrieve the disc and bring it back to you. It is a stepping stone that once passed allows you to move onto other events. The remaining three events focus on speed rounds, trick routines and distance respectively. It all adds up to tons of fun for the Disc Dog.
We are actively pursuing a membership in the CDDA and plan to be hosting competitions in 2010.
