146 Qualifying Runs at our April 23-24 Trial

Our first trial of the season was a lot of fun! The footing was excellent and dogs and handlers out performed themselves with 143 Qualifying runs being earned! Here are some of the trial highlights with our congratulations!

We are happy to announce that FAME will be hosting their August 20-21 trial at our Little River site. The trial is chaired Robin Ann Young and Heather MacInnis, and Darr Houssen is judging. It will be a fun trial and we are hoping for a huge turnout and great weather!

Our Trials in 2011

We have an exciting year planned for trialing at Little River Dog Sports (LRDS). We have 5 weekend trials registered plus we will be offering two standard runs on the weekend of the Regionals. Our April trial will be held inside at Golden Reins Arena in Salisbury. All our other trials will be held at Little River.

In addition to LRDS trials, there will be two other trialing weekends at our Little River site: K9 Kapers will be hosting the 2011 Regionals here on June 18-19, and FAME (Moncton) will host their trial here on August 20 – 21. We are very excited and pleased that FAME and Kapers will be using our trial site.

K9 Kapers Hosting the 2011 Regionals at Little River

Little River Dog Sports is pleased to announce that K9 Kapers (Fredericton) will be hosting the 2011 AAC Regionals at our Little River trial site in Colpitt’s Settlement, NB. The Regionals will be held on June 18 – 19. As the Regionals is an event that benefits all the clubs in NB and PEI, Little River Dog Sports is happy to contribute (complimentary) the use of our property and equipment to K9 Kapers for the event. Lots of Awards at Our Last Trial of the Season

Our last trial of the year was a crowd pleaser! The dogs ran really well, the footing was perfect, the food was great, and the atmosphere was lots of fun. Some visitors from Saint John came up to watch on Sunday afternoon….they said they really enjoyed it and that it felt like a big happy party. I thought that was very nice….and pretty much how I felt. There is a really nice cosy feeling when we are all squeezed into the riding arena . LOL

There were 133 Qualifying runs, and many dog-handler teams achieved milestones in their agility careers:

Wendy Plyley and Kimmie got their Silver award;

Robin Ann Young and Fanny got their MAD;

Robert Hammer and Dexter got their ATChC;

Advanced Games Titles went to Darcie Sharp and Dakota,

Barb Curry and Doogle, and Beth Shaw and Madison;

Andre Landry and Ace got their Master Snooker Title;

Jerry Hamilton and Beowolf, and Wendy Rudolph and Kit Katt got their AADC;

Charlotte and Bliss got their ADC;

Melanie LeClerc and Kalmia, and Karen Jackson and Cruz both got their SGDC.

Special Mention:

Sylvia Craig and Layla earned 7 Q’s out of 8;

Debbie Lowe and Sollie, Erin Piercy and Toffee, and Wendy Rudolph and Kit Katt all earned 6 Q’s out of 8. Well done guys!

Thanks to all of you for volunteering and helping to make everything run so smoothly, and for staying behind to help us pack up. A special thank you to Anic for judging….she is a pleasure to have as a judge and as a guest in our home. Thank you to Gwen for jumping in this year and looking after the scoring for us. And thanks to Christa Goodine and her children for looking after us so very well all season! And thanks to Lisa at the Golden Reins for letting us use the arena…it’s a great facility for agility. Of course a HUGE thanks to all of you for coming and trialing with us!
